Human rights self-assessment compliance

How can self-evaluation instruments be used to comply with human rights commitments?

Self-evaluation tools aim at constructing objective parameters and indicators to measure the level of commitment and compliance of users and to provide feedback on the results. Each of the instruments listed above has its own methodology, so users should consult the source.

This toolbox also includes a self-assessment mechanism that aims at highlighting the most important binding and non-binding human rights commitments for the various kinds of organisations in Belgium. The feedback provided aims at serving as a roadmap of the main issues to evaluate when analysing an organisation’s own activities or those of its partners, as well as the main available mechanisms that can be used for evaluation.
